Mum and daughter day off
For this mum and daughter session, we did a mix of indoor and outdoor photos. We were so lucky with the weather, and their house and garden were just gorgeous, which always helps! We started in the nursery just as Baby woke up from her nap, and we warmed up by chatting and taking pictures of Mum getting Baby ready. I let Baby set the pace and pick toys and objects she liked, such as her favourite book and her beloved grey bunny. I suggested Mum sat her in the rocking chair, which Baby absolutely loved and we got some really sweet pictures.
As the weather was so lovely we then headed into the garden. Luckily they had a big tree casting some shade in the middle. Direct sunlight, especially around midday, can be a bit harsh and doesn’t always look the best on faces, so this dappled light was perfect. Baby loved to play with Mum in the grass and picking daisies.
After a little snack break for Baby, we headed back to the nursery to take some more pictures on the sheep rug as I loved the look of it (I might get one myself and bring it to future sessions!) Baby was dead set on putting her own shoes on, but sadly at 16 months she wasn’t quite able to yet… We then finished with some bubbles, which are always a winner with the little ones!
Have a look at this sneak peak from their session!
